Sarah Breedon
Registered Psychotherapist
Often telling your story can be challenging…
I’m Sarah, and I’m here to help you regain a sense of control and calm when life starts to feel overwhelming. Whether you’re struggling with demands at home, feeling disconnected in your relationships, or moving through stress at work, you deserve a space where you can breathe, reflect, and feel supported.
Together, we’ll work toward clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of ease.
Experience
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a postgraduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Humber College.
Over the past five years, I’ve supported clients in a variety of settings, including a live-in treatment program for youth with addictions, a hospital outpatient counselling program, a drop-in center for under-housed individuals, and private practice.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the many ways people adapt to life’s challenges.
Client Focus
I work with adults navigating life transitions, relationship stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, burnout, low self-worth, and difficulties setting boundaries. I’m committed to creating a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment and begin reconnecting with your values, needs, and strengths.
Types of Therapy
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and paced to meet you exactly where you are. I draw from ACT, Distress Tolerance skills, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR. Kindness, humor, and curiosity guide our work together as we explore the deeper yearnings behind your behaviours and uncover healthier, more aligned ways to meet your needs.
Issues I Support
I support clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, boundary setting, attachment wounds, self-compassion work, and navigating a harsh inner critic. My focus is on helping you move toward a life guided by your values and grounded in emotional clarity and connection.
More than just my work
I have a big love for nature walks, nurturing my many plants, and wrapping myself in a cozy blanket, even in the summer. I also enjoy connecting with friends and family over a good board game and the comfort of laughter.
Let’s Connect
If you’re ready to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life, I’m here to support you every step of the way. You’re welcome to book an appointment, and together we’ll begin your journey toward healing, understanding, and lasting change.
