It is so hard being a teen today- but for me, this is my absolute passion population to work with.
Many youth and young adults, struggle with their identity, uncertainty, and self-doubt as they navigate important life transitions and decisions. I love to help in this way!
I provide a youth-focused counseling services that focus on addressing these challenges through a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, goal setting, and self-discovery exercises.
Clients are equipped with skills that can help them build their self-esteem and make sustainable life choices. Gaining greater clarity in their goals, confidence, and resilience in facing life transitions and decision-making can alter the course of your life forever. I make teens feel comfortable, engaged and in control of their sessions.
Experience:
Marcaila is a Registered Social Worker and a Wayne State University graduate with her master’s degree in Social Work. She has worked for the Windsor-Essex Community Health Center, working alongside clients in unpacking traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, and substance use concerns. Marcaila creates a safe and non-judgmental environment for young clients to explore their feelings and concerns.
