Nicole Kennedy
ON LEAVE
Often telling your story can be challenging…
I’m Nicole, and I’m here to support you as you navigate the emotional weight you may be carrying. If you’ve been feeling anxious, sad, overwhelmed, or lonely, even if others don’t fully see it, you’re not alone. Many people do their best to hold things together on the outside while struggling internally.
You deserve a space where all of you is welcomed, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll work toward balance, healing, and a renewed sense of peace and self-worth.
Experience
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I’ve supported at-risk youth, adults with developmental disabilities, and individuals navigating complex mental health challenges.
My background has strengthened my ability to meet clients with compassion, open-mindedness, and a deep respect for their resilience and lived experience.
Client Focus
I work with children (10+), adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, emotion regulation challenges, self-harm, loneliness, and overwhelming or persistent negative thoughts. My approach is always trauma-informed, developmentally aware, and grounded in genuine care.
Types of Therapy
My therapeutic style is eclectic, warm, and collaborative. I draw from CBT, ACT, attachment-focused therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches. Together, we’ll create a therapy plan that fits your unique needs and supports you in developing emotional balance, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-understanding.
Issues I Support
I support clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem concerns, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and feelings of loneliness or disconnection. My work focuses on helping you rediscover your strength, build coping skills, and feel more grounded and at ease within yourself.
More than just my work
I find inspiration in Brené Brown’s reminder:
“You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”
This belief shapes how I show up in the therapy room and the compassion I bring to every client relationship.
