Often telling your story can be challenging…
Niá:wen for being here. I’m Mitchell, and I’m committed to supporting you with compassion, cultural awareness, and deep respect as you navigate the complexities of your mental health. Life experiences shape how we think, feel, and relate to others, sometimes leaving us with anxiety, depression, stress, or emotional overwhelm. You deserve a safe, non-judgmental space to explore these feelings—and I’m here to offer that.
Together, we’ll work to understand what you’re carrying and create a path toward healing, balance, and emotional strength.
Experience
I hold a Master of Social Work from King’s University College and have worked across a range of mental health settings, supporting children, youth, adults, and families through diverse emotional and relational challenges. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-focused care, shaped by years of walking alongside individuals navigating deeply personal experiences.
I am a proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, and this identity informs the cultural sensitivity and community awareness I bring to my work.
Client Focus
I work with children (7+), youth, adults, and families. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, PTSD, addiction, stress, anger, grief, emotional regulation concerns, and self-esteem difficulties. My goal is to create a steady, respectful, and culturally attuned space where you can feel supported in your healing.
Types of Therapy
My therapeutic approach is holistic and deeply personalized. I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), ERP for OCD, and Indigenous teachings to support healing on emotional, mental, physical, and relational levels. These modalities help us understand how past experiences shape the present and open the door to resilience and well-being.
Issues I Support
I support clients working through anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, addiction, stress, anger management, emotional dysregulation, grief, loss, and self-esteem challenges. My work centres on helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom and develop skills for long-term emotional health.
More than just my work
I find grounding in nature—especially watching sunsets over lakes. I’m a lifelong sports fan with a deep love for soccer from my childhood in England. I enjoy long walks with a good podcast, making homemade pizza, and dancing around the house to my favourite songs.
