Megan-Fay Rothschild
Registered Social Worker Psychotherapist
Often telling your story can be challenging…
I’m Megan-Fay, and I’m here to support you as you navigate the complexities of simply being human. If you’re feeling confused by your thoughts, overwhelmed by emotions, or weighed down by grief, fear, or longing, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with clarity, confidence, and choice.
You don’t have to sort through these feelings alone, together, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface with curiosity and compassion.
Experience
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with 13 years of experience supporting teenagers, survivors of sexual assault, and individuals facing diverse emotional challenges. My training includes Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of trauma, identity, emotional complexity, and the courage it takes to begin the healing process.
Client Focus
I work with individuals and teens 12+, supporting those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity questions, and life transitions. My goal is to offer a space that feels safe, supportive, and grounded in authenticity.
Types of Therapy
My approach is relational, strengths-based, and creatively tailored to each person’s needs. I draw from parts work, somatic experiencing, EMDR, compassion-based approaches, mindfulness, and experiential therapies to help you process difficult experiences and build a life that feels meaningful, safe, and aligned with who you truly are.
Issues I Support
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and complex inner experiences. My specialties include sexual trauma, borderline traits, and helping individuals reconnect with their inner wisdom and sense of self.
More than just my work
I’m inspired by Walt Whitman’s words:
“Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself; (I am large. I contain multitudes).”
This speaks to the complexity of being human and reflects the multifaceted, compassionate perspective I bring to my work.
Let’s Connect
If you’re ready to understand your feelings more deeply and build a life that feels safe, grounded, and fulfilling, I’d be honoured to walk that path with you. You’re welcome to book an appointment, and together we can explore your journey with care and curiosity.
