Megan-Fay Rothschild
Registered Social Worker Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Megan-Fay, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist committed to helping you navigate the complexities of- well, simply being a person! If you’re struggling with understanding your thoughts, feelings, or desires, or if you’re dealing with grief, fear, or longing, counseling offers a space to explore these experiences and find clarity, confidence, and choice in your life.
Professional Background: With 13 years of experience working with teenagers, sexual assault survivors, and a variety of other demographics, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges you may be facing. My training includes Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, as well as Emotionally-Focused, Solution-Focused, and Narrative Therapies, all aimed at supporting you in a compassionate and effective way.
Therapeutic Approach: My approach is relational, strengths-based, and creatively tailored to meet your needs. I utilize parts work, somatic experiencing, compassion work, and mindfulness to help you process difficult experiences and move towards a life that feels safe, meaningful, and joyful.
Client Focus: I work with individuals and teens aged 12 and over, guiding them through their unique challenges and toward their personal growth and healing.
Issues Addressed:
- Common concerns include anxiety, depression, and trauma.
- Specialties include addressing sexual trauma, borderline traits, and navigating life transitions.
More Than Just Work:
- I draw inspiration from Walt Whitman’s words, “Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself; (I am large. I contain multitudes).” This perspective helps embrace the complexity and depth of human experience, reflecting the multifaceted approach I bring to therapy.
Let’s Connect: If you’re ready to explore your feelings and start building a life that is safe and fulfilling, I’m here to facilitate that journey. Book an appointment today, and let’s explore together how you can build a life filled with clarity, confidence, and joy.
