Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Often telling your story can be challenging…
I’m Leah, and I understand firsthand how overwhelming mental health challenges can feel. Having walked my own path toward healing, I’m deeply committed to helping you build confidence, strengthen your coping skills, and reconnect with what allows your life to feel meaningful and fulfilling.
You don’t have to navigate these challenges alone, together, we can create space for growth, clarity, and greater emotional balance.
Experience
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts with a Specialization in Psychology from King’s University College. With over five years of experience in the mental health sector, I’ve supported teens and adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and issues related to self-esteem and self-compassion.
My work across multiple organizations has enriched my understanding of diverse experiences and strengthened my ability to provide grounded, trauma-informed care.
Client Focus
I work with adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults, offering support for anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, emotional overwhelm, and low self-esteem. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, history, and goals, creating a compassionate and accessible therapeutic space.
Types of Therapy
My approach is eclectic, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I primarily draw from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), integrating skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and behavioural change.
Our sessions will offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to explore new skills, build resilience, and practice behaviours that support a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Issues I Support
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, self-esteem challenges, emotional dysregulation, and difficulties with self-compassion. My work centres on helping you strengthen emotional insight and develop practical, sustainable coping strategies.
More than just my work
I cherish time with family and friends, and I’m happiest in warm weather enjoying anything outdoors. I’m also a huge dog lover and adore spending time with my chihuahua and shi-poo-chi. Fitness plays a big role in my life—it helps me stay grounded, energized, and aligned with my belief in living a balanced life through moderation.
