Registered Dance/Movement Therapist & Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Often telling your story can be challenging…
Many of us grow up hearing “use your words” when trying to express how we feel, as if every emotion can neatly translate into language. But some feelings are too big, too layered, or too overwhelming to put into words. If you find yourself unsure how to describe what you’re feeling, or defaulting to what you “should” think instead of what you truly feel, you’re not alone.
I support children, teens, and young adults in understanding emotions that go beyond words. Through movement, mindfulness, and somatic work, I help you tune into your body, instincts, and inner experiences so you can feel more grounded, balanced, and understood.
Experience
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy. Over the past five years, I’ve worked in hospitals, homeless shelters, and group practice settings supporting clients through anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation, identity exploration, and Queer and gender-diverse lived experiences.
I am also a meditation and yoga teacher, bringing empowerment, body awareness, and embodied understanding into the therapy space.
Client Focus
I work with children (7+), teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, grief, identity exploration, neurodivergence (including ADHD), BPD traits, and challenges related to acceptance and belonging. I offer a warm, affirming, and LGBTQ2S+-inclusive space where every part of you is welcome.
Types of Therapy
My approach is creative, embodied, and trauma-informed. I draw from dance/movement therapy, IFS, somatic CBT, mindfulness, MBSR, meditation practices, and emotion-based processing. I use movement, somatics, and expressive therapies to help clients understand and process emotions through both the mind and body.
Together, we build coping strategies, emotional understanding, and self-trust so you can feel more grounded and in control of your story.
Issues I Support
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, emotional dysregulation, neurodivergence, grief, BPD traits, mood swings, and stress. I also specialize in Queer issues, embodiment-based healing, and supporting young people who feel “too much” or misunderstood.
More than just my work
I believe deeply in the wisdom of the body. Movement, mindfulness, and creativity shape not only my therapeutic work but also how I understand myself in the world. I’m inspired by the words of Thich Nhat Hanh:
“Listening to and understanding our inner sufferings will resolve most of the problems we encounter.”
Let’s Connect
Starting therapy, especially for the first time, can feel scary and vulnerable. Whether you’re a young person navigating big emotions or a parent seeking support for your child, you don’t have to figure this out alone. I offer a gentle, creative, and accepting space where you or your child can feel truly seen.
You’re welcome to reach out and begin when you feel ready.
