Jennifer Neeb
Registered Psychotherapist
Hello, I’m Jennifer, a Registered Psychotherapist dedicated to helping you rediscover your true self and overcome the overwhelming feelings that might be making life difficult lately. If you’re feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or are experiencing negative moods and even physical symptoms, know that you don’t have to face these challenges alone.
Professional Background: I earned a master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University and have worked in both private and group practice settings. My experience includes supporting clients in achieving their mental health and wellness goals and providing crisis intervention through volunteer work on support lines.
Therapeutic Approach: My approach to therapy is highly individualized and integrative, focusing on identifying your strengths and equipping you with evidence-based strategies to enhance your empowerment. We will engage in a directive yet collaborative partnership that explores both your inner and outer worlds, aiming to understand and adjust what’s necessary for you to thrive. Part of our work together will involve psychoeducation, helping you understand the “why’s” and “how’s” of therapy, which is crucial for enhancing your coping strategies and ensuring you can handle life’s challenges confidently.
Client Focus: I primarily work with individuals aged 21 and over, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
Issues Addressed:
- Common concerns such as stress, life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, and mood disorders.
- Specialties include perinatal mental health, ADHD, ASD, and supporting clients who are new to therapy.
More Than Just Work:
- I am an avid reader and if I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to read books at super speed. I’m often juggling several books at once and find inspiration in everything from Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning to the light-hearted narratives of Sophie Kinsella’s The Undomestic Goddess.
- I deeply resonate with Nido Qubein’s words, “Your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start.”
Let’s Connect: If you’re ready to take the steps necessary to feel like yourself again and achieve your personal and relational goals, I’m here to guide and support you. Book an appointment today, and let’s begin this journey of growth and discovery together.
