Often telling your story can be challenging…
I understand how difficult it can be to prioritize your mental health when life feels full, fast, or uncertain. If you’re struggling to find balance or feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or shifting life circumstances, I’m here to support you with care, clarity, and grounded guidance.

Together, we’ll explore the patterns, thoughts, and behaviours that are impacting your well-being and work toward creating a life that feels steadier, healthier, and more fulfilling.

Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Windsor and a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. My professional background includes providing therapy to adolescents and adults in both virtual and in-person settings, as well as supporting homeless and at-risk communities and adolescents in mental health units.

I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, stress, and identity exploration. These roles have strengthened my ability to meet clients with empathy, flexibility, and a deep respect for their lived experiences.

Client Focus

I work with adults and adolescents aged 14+, offering a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space to navigate emotional challenges, behavioural patterns, and different stages of change. My goal is always to meet you where you are and honour your pace.

Types of Therapy

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), helping clients understand and reshape the thoughts and behaviours that influence their emotional well-being. I also integrate mindfulness practices, strength-based approaches, healthy coping strategies, and present-moment awareness.

For clients navigating OCD, I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention.

Issues I Support

I commonly work with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, stress, and identity exploration. My focus is on helping clients develop insight, learn practical skills, and build patterns that support long-term well-being.

More than just my work

I love exploring new places, trying new things, and experiencing different cultures. With 19 countries visited so far, I’m always excited to plan the next adventure and see where the world takes me.

More than just my work

In my early twenties, I spent almost two years traveling and working abroad—a time that challenged me, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and helped shape who I am today. And despite many years working at Pizza Hut as a teen and university student, pizza is still my favourite food.

Often telling your story can be challenging…

I support adults who are dealing with trauma, major life transitions, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, parenting overwhelm, caregiver burnout, adoption experiences, and the day-to-day challenges of chronic illness or disability. These issues can create stress, anxiety, and a sense of being stuck.

Through a warm, steady, and collaborative approach, I help clients make sense of what they’re going through, build coping strategies, and reconnect with confidence, strength, and direction.

Experience:

My early career began with a Developmental Service Worker diploma from Fanshawe College, followed by more than 15 years working with people with disabilities and complex mental health needs.

With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I’ve supported at-risk youth, adults with developmental disabilities, and individuals navigating complex mental health challenges.

My background has strengthened my ability to meet clients with compassion, open-mindedness, and a deep respect for their resilience and lived experience.

I work with children (10+), adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, emotion regulation challenges, self-harm, loneliness, and overwhelming or persistent negative thoughts. My approach is always trauma-informed, developmentally aware, and grounded in genuine care.

Types of Therapy

My therapeutic style is eclectic, warm, and collaborative. I draw from CBT, ACT, attachment-focused therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches. “You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”
This belief shapes how I show up in the therapy room and the compassion I bring to every client relationship.

Kerri Phillips, RP, CCC, R-DMT

Often telling your story can be challenging…
Many of us grow up hearing “use your words” when trying to express how we feel—as if every emotion can neatly translate into language. But some feelings are too big, too layered, or too overwhelming to put into words. If you find yourself unsure how to describe what you’re feeling, or defaulting to what you “should” think instead of what you truly feel, you’re not alone.

I support children, teens, and young adults in understanding emotions that go beyond words. Through movement, mindfulness, and somatic work, I help you tune into your body, instincts, and inner experiences so you can feel more grounded, balanced, and understood.

Experience

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy. Over the past five years, I’ve worked in hospitals, homeless shelters, and group practice settings supporting clients through anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation, identity exploration, and Queer and gender-diverse lived experiences.

I am also a meditation and yoga teacher, bringing empowerment, body awareness, and embodied understanding into the therapy space.

Client Focus

I work with children (7+), teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, grief, identity exploration, neurodivergence (including ADHD), BPD traits, and challenges related to acceptance and belonging. I offer a warm, affirming, and LGBTQ2S+-inclusive space where every part of you is welcome.

Types of Therapy

My approach is creative, embodied, and trauma-informed. I draw from dance/movement therapy, IFS, somatic CBT, mindfulness, MBSR, meditation practices, and emotion-based processing. I use movement, somatics, and expressive therapies to help clients understand and process emotions through both the mind and body.

Together, we build coping strategies, emotional understanding, and self-trust so you can feel more grounded and in control of your story.

Issues I Support

I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, emotional dysregulation, neurodivergence, grief, BPD traits, mood swings, and stress. I also specialize in Queer issues, embodiment-based healing, and supporting young people who feel “too much” or misunderstood.

More than just my work

I believe deeply in the wisdom of the body. Movement, mindfulness, and creativity shape not only my therapeutic work but also how I understand myself in the world. I’m inspired by the words of Thich Nhat Hanh:
“Listening to and understanding our inner sufferings will resolve most of the problems we encounter.”

I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), ERP for OCD, and Indigenous teachings to support healing on emotional, mental, physical, and relational levels. Wendy Cosstick

As the Client care Coordinator at LTT, my role is all about making connections.  My job is to support both clients and therapists by helping to navigate the intake process, schedule appointments, answer questions and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

I strive to create a welcoming and supportive experience from the very first point of contact.

When it comes to client care, I believe each clients journey is unique, so I strive to meet each person with kindness, and clarity so they know what to expect in the intake process.

I want each client to feel heard, respected and comfortable as they take their steps toward mental wellness.

Working in mental health is meaningful to me because I truly care about other peoples stories, their journey from where they were, to reaching out to LTT for help. It takes courage to take these steps and I find it rewarding to play a role in helping clients access the care they need.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, kayaking on a quiet lake with my husband, curling up on the couch with a good book, and spending time with friends. These are the things that recharge my soul and fill my cup with love and gratitude.

Before you come in, we’ll send you an email with all the details you need to set up your account and a link to an intake form through our secure booking system, Jane. Filling out this form before your session really helps, as it gives your therapist a good starting point to understand what kind of support you’re looking for and how to make the most of your time together.

Plus, we’ve put together a handy Guide to Starting Therapy and a collection of Therapy Tools just for you!

And if you’re wondering how to get everything set up, check out our quick video guide that walks you through preparing for your first session. We can’t wait to meet you and get started!

How can I determine which kind of therapy is best suited for me?

At your initial consultation here at London Trauma Therapy, we’ll take the time to really get to know you and what you’re hoping to achieve with therapy. It’s all about understanding your unique situation and figuring out together which therapy approach fits best with your life and goals. Sometimes, what might have been suggested to you before isn’t quite the right fit—and that’s totally okay! Your therapist is here to explore the options with you, helping you discover the most effective and comfortable path forward.

Think of this first chat as a friendly, open conversation where you can share openly and learn about the different ways we can support you. We want to make sure that the therapy you choose feels right for you, personalized to meet your needs. We’re here not just to guide you, but to listen and adapt our approach based on what will help you the most…

Is a free 15-minute consultation available before I book a session?

A complimentary consultation call  is a fantastic way to connect with a therapist and get a feel for their style and approach before diving into therapy.

This is your chance to share a little about yourself, what’s bringing you to therapy, and ask any important questions you might have for your potential therapist.

While there’s no formal limit to how many Meet-and-Greets you can book, we recommend keeping it to two or three. We know that too many choices can sometimes be overwhelming, and our Care Team is here to help guide you through the process.

If you’d like help matching with a therapist, you can fill out our quick matching questionnaire, and we’ll offer a personalized recommendation.

How can I choose the right therapist at your clinic?

The most important factor for success in therapy is finding a therapist who feels like the right fit. Here’s how we help you do just that.

Research shows that the key to effective therapy isn’t necessarily the therapist’s approach, background, or even their years of experience. The real game-changer is whether you feel connected and understood by your therapist.

Here are some signs that you’ve found the right fit:

  • You feel heard and understood.
  • You don’t feel judged, ashamed, or embarrassed.
  • The focus is on you and your life.
  • Your therapist introduces new perspectives that resonate with you.
  • The pace feels comfortable and suited to your needs.

Our Care Team is dedicated to helping you find that perfect match. We take the time to connect with you one-on-one to get a sense of what kind of support you’re looking for.  It’s your therapy journey, and your voice matters in choosing the therapist who feels right for you.

At London Trauma Therapy, we have a diverse team of professionals with a wide range of experiences and specialties, ready to meet your unique needs.
